1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and DivineBond (“DivineBond,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our matchmaking website, app, and related services (the “Service”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use DivineBond, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into marriage under the laws that apply to you.
• You are not currently barred from using our Service under applicable law, and have not been previously suspended or removed from DivineBond for violating these Terms.
• All information you provide during registration and profile creation is truthful, accurate, and not intended to impersonate or misrepresent yourself or anyone else.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You may sign up using an email and password, or using “Continue with Google.” Each person may hold only one active account.

4. Identity Verification (KYC)

To protect our members from fake profiles and fraud, we require identity verification using your National Identity Card (NIC) or another government-issued ID before certain features (such as messaging or full profile visibility) become available. We may suspend, restrict, or remove any account whose submitted identification cannot be verified or appears fraudulent.

5. Profiles Created on Behalf of Someone Else

If you create a profile on behalf of a family member (for example, as a parent registering an adult child), you represent and warrant that:

• You have that person's knowledge and consent to do so.
• The person is at least 18 years old and legally eligible to marry.
• All information and photos you submit on their behalf are accurate and provided with their permission.

DivineBond may ask the profile subject to confirm their identity and consent directly at any time, and may suspend the profile until this is confirmed.

6. Subscriptions, Free Trials & Billing

• Certain features of DivineBond require a paid subscription (monthly, quarterly, or biannual billing cycles). Prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and may change with notice.
• New accounts may be granted a free trial period. At the end of the trial, continued access to paid features requires an active subscription — the trial does not automatically convert into a paid plan without your action.
• Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees for your selected plan and billing cycle.
• Subscriptions do not auto-renew with saved card details unless you are explicitly notified otherwise at checkout; you may re-subscribe or switch plans at any time from your account's Subscription page.
• Fees already paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or at DivineBond's sole discretion for billing errors.

7. Member Conduct

By using DivineBond, you agree that you will not:

• Create a false profile, misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or intentions, or upload photos that are not genuinely of yourself or the profile subject.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or send unwanted or inappropriate messages to other members.
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to genuine matchmaking.
• Request money, gifts, or financial information from another member, or attempt to defraud any member.
• Post or share content that is obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful.
• Attempt to circumvent our identity verification, security measures, or subscription/paywall systems.

We rely on member reports as well as our own review to enforce these rules. Violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from DivineBond, at our discretion, without refund.

8. Messaging & Moderation

In-app messages between members may be automatically or manually reviewed for safety and policy compliance, and may be used as evidence when investigating a report. You can block or report any member who violates these Terms directly from the chat.

9. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of the photos, profile details, and messages you submit to DivineBond. By submitting content, you grant DivineBond a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content to other members as necessary to operate the matchmaking Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

10. Intellectual Property

The DivineBond name, logo, website, and app — excluding content submitted by members — are the property of DivineBond and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reuse them without our written permission.

11. No Guarantee of Outcome

DivineBond helps members discover and connect with compatible partners, but we do not guarantee that you will find a match, form a relationship, or that any relationship formed through the Service will be successful. We do not conduct criminal background checks beyond the identity verification described in Section 4, and we encourage members to exercise their own judgment and caution when communicating with or meeting other members.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DivineBond and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or from the conduct of any member you interact with through DivineBond, including in-person meetings arranged as a result of using the Service.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or engaged in conduct that harms DivineBond or its members. You may deactivate or delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DivineBond harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as an email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
